As soon as you are through with your passport control at Tbilisi International Airport, our representative will be waiting for you in the Arrival Hall to welcome you. After completing the necessary formalities, we’ll transfer you to your hotel for check-in. And, you’ll be having the rest of the day to yourself where you can put up your feet and get familiarized with the place. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
We’ll begin with a great breakfast at the hotel, then get ready for a to-do list check with our guide. The discovery of our city’s true wealth and culture commences at Europe Square, where you’ll literally feel the hustle and bustle of this busy area. Next we’ll go to the Metekhi, which is the most famous church in the town and is located on the top of the hill, giving you a breathtaking view of the city. Then, you need to take the cable car for a fabulous drive up to Narikala Fortress, a fortress at the height of the city. Analyse the fortress and its surroundings prior to the descent to the quarter of Abanotubani, which is well known for its sulfur baths and lively architecture. To take a walk through the old town district is a perfect way to enjoy the place and to stop for a while to gaze at the picturesque surroundings of the Legvtakhevi dam. Finally, the day should end with an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll depart for a full-day excursion to Uplistsikhe and Borjomi. Our first stop is Uplistsikhe, a fascinating cave town dating back to the 3rd and 2nd millenniums BC. Explore the labyrinthine caves and marvel at the ancient architecture carved into the rock. Continuing our journey, we’ll head to Borjomi, renowned for its mineral springs and therapeutic climate. Upon arrival, we’ll visit Borjomi Central Park, where you can sample the famous mineral water straight from the springs. We’ll also explore the nearby Green Monastery, a tranquil retreat nestled in the forest. In the evening, we’ll return to Tbilisi for overnight accommodation.
Today, after breakfast, we’ll set out for a memorable excursion to Kazbegi and Gudauri. Our first destination is the picturesque Ananuri Complex, located on the Aragvi River. Explore the ancient fortress and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Next, we’ll continue our journey to Gudauri, a popular ski resort known for its stunning mountain scenery. Make a stop at the Monument of Friendship, a Soviet-era monument offering panoramic views of the Caucasus Mountains. From there, we’ll proceed to Kazbegi, where we’ll switch to a 4×4 vehicle for a thrilling ride up to Gergeti Trinity Church. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the village of Stepantsminda and the majestic Mount Kazbek, this iconic landmark offers unparalleled views of the surrounding peaks. After soaking in the scenery, we’ll return to Tbilisi for our final night.
