Arrive in Chennai, the capital of the Tamil Nadu state on the coast of the Bay of Bengal, to a warm welcome by our representative and escorted to your hotel.
In Chennai visit the St. George Fort, St. Thomas Mount, San Thome Cathedral, Kapaleeswar Temple and the National Art Gallery with your driver guide
Overnight stay at hotel
After breakfast drive to the historic seaport town of Mahabalipuram, where we will take a guided tour of the Shore Temple overlooking the Bay of Bengal, The Five Raths, The Arjuna's Penance and the rock-cut Tiger cave temple complex, all part of the UNESCO Wolrd Heritage site.
Arrive in Pondicherry around mid-day.
During the day, we will visit the spiritual community of Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville.
Drive towards Tanjore with stops at Gangai Konda Cholapuram & Darasuram Shiva temples built by the Chola kings.
After checking in to our hotel in Tanjore in the afternoon, visit the Brihadeeswarar temple – one of the largest temples in India, and its most praised architectural glories.
On our way to Madurai visit the bustling Thiruchirapalli (Trichy). Visit Rock Fort Temple & Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple here.
Arrive at Madurai in the evening and check-in to your hotel.
Our Madurai sightseeing tour for the day includes the Mariamman Teppakulam and the 17th century Palace of Tirumalai Nayak. In the evening, revisit the Meenakshi Temple for a prayer ceremony.
Around mid-day arrive in the picturesque town of Thekkady, located in the Periyar National Park. We will then enjoy the exciting sights and aromas of the Spice Plantation Tour with a local guide.
In the morning proceed to Periyar National Park and have a boat ride.
After the boat ride we will return to our hotel and take off for Kumarakom. We stop at Connemara Tea Factory at Vandi Periyar for a brief guided tour on the process of making the best CTC Tea in Kerala.
Board the comfortable houseboat to Alleppey after breakfast. Enjoy the magical houseboat ride and the breathtaking views of the untouched and otherwise inaccessible rural Kerala.
Lunch, dinner and overnight stay on the houseboat.
After having breakfast on the houseboat, we will leave for Cochin
After arrival, check in at the hotel. We make a half-day guided sightseeing tour of Cochin including visits to the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese, Jewish Synagogue located in the Jew Town quarter of Old Cochin, St Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica before ending the trip at the Chinese Fishing Nets that line the seafront and exhibit a mechanical method of catching fish by local fishermen in Fort Kochi.
We proceed to Mararikulam village, nestled on the coast of Arabian Sea where you will have a relaxing and rejuvenating stay for the next two nights.
Day is free at leisure to relax on the beach/ or you can explore the village life on your own on foot or on a bicycle.
After breakfast at your resort, drive towards Cochin airport for onward journey.
